With the arrival of the latest product waiting to be introduced, Gonvarri Material Handling wanted to run an internal campaign within the business to create a buzz amongst the employees. Everyone across the regions were invited to join in the competition and submit their choice of product names in a bid to win the top prize with a further 5 runner-up prizes.
The competition’s deadline coincided with the launch of the new machine at LogiMAT 2022. As the biggest intralogistics tradeshow in Europe, LogiMAT was the perfect platform to reveal the long-awaited name. With an important deadline ahead, the judges had the task of narrowing down the incredible number of submissions to find the best of the best.
After months of speculation and anticipation, we can finally reveal the name! So, without further delay, we’re excited to announce the winning name is GonvaLift!
Romina Mihaela Avram - Competition Winner
Congratulations goes to our competition winner, Romina Mihaela Avram, who created the name for the new machine. Romina is a part of our Dexion team based in Romania and will receive the top prize a €250 voucher for a retailer of her choice.
On receiving the exciting news Romina says: “Joining the Gonvarri Material Handling team has been a huge opportunity for my career. I am so proud and lucky that I had the chance to bring my personal contribution to the group.”

GonvaLift’s introduction at LogiMAT received a lot of interest from this year’s attendees. The new functions are designed to increase speed, operate silently, and optimise the operator’s safety. Due to faster tray changes and higher storage capacity, GonvaLift offers greater efficiency, along with the two tray locations at the opening and the Windows based WMS system allow for fast and accurate picking.
Safety was key in the design providing additional features such as internal and external safety light grids that stop the travel process immediately if danger is detected; tray locking systems at the opening and emergency stop button close to hand. The IoT system provides proactive support, which includes documents and guidance, with full remote support available. Password protection is also provided for extra security.
